It's disappointing for any actor when his film doesn't do well. On hindsight I feel that those filmmakers who vanished after my film Prem Aggan didn't succeed at the box-office, obviously didn't believe in me. So in a way I am glad that they vanished. Not that I blame them because today filmmaking is a big risk.

"But all this taught me a lot, it was a very maturing experience. It was not at all demoralising because I feel whenever you are faced with an adverse situation you have to try and rise above it and be as positive as possible.

"You just have to rise to a challenge and not forget what you set out to do. My goal was to be an actor.Yes, I wanted to be a successful actor and so I had to do whatever was required to become successful. I did approach some

filmmakers at that time and I didn't think of it as a compromise with my ego or self-respect. I just treated it as part of the job. If you want something desperately you have to go out and get it and the best way to get something is to ask for it!

"My message to my fans would be: the world is your playground, just go out there and stake your claim."
